As Bitcoin is approaching mainstream adoption, access to cryptocurrencies is becoming easier and stress-free. One way of purchasing Bitcoin and other crypto-assets is via Automated Teller Machine (ATM), and the global stat for Bitcoin ATM is rapidly growing.
A new report today revealed that CryptoLocalATM, a crypto service provider, has installed the first Bitcoin ATM (BATM) in the Italian city of Bari and Puglia as a whole.
The BATM is sited at VIA NIZZI 81 70126 BARI, an office owned by the Cariati Group, a financial consultancy and services company. The location is crowded and accessible to the public as it is close to Bari’s central rail station.
The Bitcoin ATM offers multiple cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dash, and Monero. Users can buy their preferred coins from the list of available crypto assets using either cash or card.
The office also has POS and GATEWAY services, which makes crypto transactions stress-free.
Global BATM Approaches 11k
The number of crypto ATM worldwide has been quite impressive as the total figure is now close to 11,000. According to data from CoinATMRadar, the number of available Bitcoin ATMs is 10,875 across 71 countries.
The United States has the most BATM installations, with 8737 crypto ATMs installed in different locations across the country. Following the US closely is Canada and the United Kingdom with 904 and 287 BATM installations, respectively.
Austria, Switzerland, and Spain have at least 100 BATM locations. Countries like Nigeria, Norway, Ecuador, Kenya, Lithuania, and India have also recorded their first Bitcoin ATM installation.
