Top Australian Exchange Lists Shiba Inu, Announces Giveaway

The SHIB Army is set to increase as a top Australian exchange list Shiba Inu.

Bitcoin.com.au, an Australian crypto exchange, has listed the second-largest memecoin, SHIB. The platform also announces a $100 giveaway for partakers in a simple task. With the latest announcement, SHIB will enter into the digital asset portfolios of more Australians.

SHIB Expands

According to its homepage, Bitcoin.com.au boasts a user base of over 300,000 and a 10-year experience with digital assets. The platform offers over 20 cryptocurrencies including BTC, ETH, USDT, XRP, and ADA. SHIB will be the second dog-themed memecoin that the Australian exchange will offer. DOGE, the leading memecoin, is currently offered on the platform.

Notably, Bitcoin.com.au is not the first Australian crypto exchange to feature the Shiba Inu token. Another local crypto exchange, CoinJar, already offers the SHIB token.

Despite starting as a meme, the dog-themed cryptocurrency has garnered attention from users in different parts of the world. Last year, Coinfomania reported that BitTrade, a Japanese exchange, has listed Shiba Inu and its competitor memecoin, Dogecoin.

Aside from investors’ increasing interest in SHIB, the project’s developer team has introduced several utilities to encourage engagement with the memecoin. Among them is the introduction of an Ethereum layer-2 solution called Shibarium. The project has also explored the stablecoin and play-to-earn markets, among others.

As the overall memecoin market sees exponential growth, SHIB has seen remarkable uptrends too. Earlier this month, SHIB moved from being among the top 20 cryptocurrencies by market cap to the top 11. At the time, it overtook Polygon, Chainlink, Tron, Polkadot, and Avalanche. Shiba Inu was also very close to overtaking its rival dog-themed memecoin project, Dogecoin.

Today, SHIB sits as the 13th largest cryptocurrency by market cap. Its current trading price is $0.00002917, representing a 4.7% increase in the last 24 hours.
