The listing of WEN on Crypto.com has led to speculations that Coinbase might take the same step to add support for the memecoin.
Solana-based meme coin Wen has made its debut on the Crypto.com exchange, marking a significant milestone for both users and the $WEN ecosystem. This move has led to speculation that other popular exchanges like Coinbase might list the meme coin.
Will Coinbase List Wen?
Although the exchange has not commented on a potential listing of Wen, Coinbase has already listed Solana meme coins like BONK, so the community speculates that the possibility of listing Wen might not be far-fetched.
Wen is one of the first cat-themed meme cryptocurrencies in the Solana ecosystem and has introduced several technical and economic innovations for the community. It is based on a fractionalized non-fungible token (NFT) of a poem called “A Love Letter to Wen Bros,” written by Meow the founder of Jupiter. The meme coin was launched on the Solana-based decentralized exchange (DEX), Jupiter on January 27.
The coin saw rapid adoption following its launch, particularly during the onset. About 50% of the airdrop was claimed by a total of 529,000 wallets on the second day. Since then, Wen has continued to see impressive growth and increasing demand.
Crypto.com’s recent listing of the meme coin will allow users to conveniently purchase $WEN using a wide range of fiat currencies, including USD, EUR, GBP, and over 20 others.
Another exchange that has shown interest in Wen is Bybit which is set to list the coin on March 27th, 2024, at 10 AM UTC. In conjunction with the listing, the exchange will let WEN holders enable deposits and withdrawals via the Solana chain.
Apart from Coinbase, there are also speculations that Binance will also list Wen. Earlier this month, the leading crypto exchange listed Dogwifhat (WIF), a Solana-based meme coin for spot trading. Following this move, the coin gained by over 18%.
WEN Up 19% in Last 24 Hours
As Solana-based meme coins continue to garner considerable attention, the listing of WEN on Crypto.com is a testament to its growing prominence and the increasing demand on reputable trading platforms.
Following the recent move by Crypto.com, Wen surged by over 19% in the last 24 hours at press time, trading at $0.0003956 according to data from Coinstats.
